Transport for London - planned engineering work
« on: September 26, 2009, 06:14:53 PM »
Hello all (particularly the admin)

I work for London Underground and have access to PDF versions of the planned engineering work posters and closure news.

I was wondering if you think it would be of assistance to residents if I were to post this on here when new information is released?  Is it possible to attach a PDF document to a forum post?  Please let me know if this is something you would like and I will see what I can do.P
Regards,

Glen

Hi Glen, welcome to the forum.   8)

Yes, any info regarding planned works would be a welcome addition to the information site, and yes you can add a .pdf as an attachment by clicking on the 'Additional Options' link under the message box.   ;)

Please let me know if you need any help.

Thank you for the welcome  :)

OK, I will make regular posts with this information.

The documents I will attach are copies of the 'Planned engineering works' posters that you can find on most London Underground stations (but not on DLR stations hence not found at East India) which come in two formats.

1 - The 'monthly' posters which have A LOT of information on them and get updated now and again after release.
2 - The 'weekly' posters which are a little less cluttered and have more details of the forthcoming weekends work.

Once the dates have passed I will delete the thread (if I'm able) to stop the forum getting cluttered up with out-of-date information.

Regards - Glen.

Hello again,

I have hit a snag - the PDF document is bigger than the permitted file upload size.

Is there any way to increase this?  The October PDF poster is 560 KB.

Regards - Glen.

Many thanks, that fixed it.

I have uploaded the October document, the weekly one should be available when I return to work on Wednesday so I will add Wednesday evening.

Cheers - Glen  :)
